looks awesome. cant wait for freeloader. also, just a comment/oppinion:
maybe you dont need as much skill but it still requires a lot. anyway the whole premise behind the innovative wiimote is that its fun. yes we will all look stupid but near shaddow sais it best. besides, it didnt stop us in wii sports or even zelda. wel look stupid and it may not be %100 accurate but it will be a pretty accurate simulation, a lot of fun, and if you dont want to get it, dont

The thing is, this game looks really fun. Even though it seems to lack depth, look how much fun they are having while playing. Cant wait for this one, seems like tons of fun.

I agree with you Lucas. Rather than try to stick a conventional game onto the Wii-mote, developers should think the other way around -- "how can we make an innovative game that makes use of the Wii-mote so that it is fun to play?"

Perhaps the truly innovative/fun fighting games for the Wii will not play like the great fighting games of the past (like Tekken, KOF, SF2,SF3, etc.). If a traditional fighting game is released for the Wii, the wii-mote functionality should be disabled. Hardcore fighting-game fanatics wouldn't have it any other way, in my opinion. How else can we pull off difficult combos?

Agreed Shadow, and while I am a fan of the GC controller, it begs the question:

"If I have to use a conventional remote for fighting games (my fav genre, so I'm biased here) WHY own an underpowered console?"

I think the Wii is a GREAT system for about 70% of game genres, after that, when you have to start using the conventional remote, it becomes an underpowered system that is 5 years too late. Thoughts?

You have some good points, but you're forgetting that the Wiimote isn't absolutely *necesarry*. In some games it'll work great, in others it won't. I don't see how they can use the Wiimote properly in a beat-'m-up, thus they should just use the - excellent, I might add - gamecube controllers. Super Smash Bros Brawl does it, why not Bleach?

The Wiimote *will* work great with a 3rd person 3D action(/adventure) Bleach game, where the sword actually mimics your movements.

I think you're a bit too pessmistic about it, but you definitely have some good points. Right now most developers are just sticking the Wiimote controls onto a gamecube game.

That being said, this actually looks a hell of a lot more fun than the prequel, which I personally hated.

Am I the only one that sees the flaw in this? The players are just flailing their hands side to side and up and down. I mean, how long before people realize the Wiimote DECREASES the need for SKILL in a game and doesn't INCREASE skill? The whole draw of the 'mote is that it mimics real life and you can pick up and play. The only problem? Very few of us are samurai masters and resort to swinging around like monkeys when it comes time to play a fighting game. This will also lessen the amount of sick combos that can not be done in real life. And has anyone asked about "how do you kick?"

All I am afraid of is that Nintendo's desire to make the Wii so easy to pick up and play and be the center of a party, they may have lessened the weight that "hardcore" genres (like deep combo'd japanese fighting games) bring to the screen. Until I see Soul Calibur as IN DEPTH and as TIGHT gameplay as it has been lately, I have no faith in this Wiimote.
