Crackdown Comparison: USA versus Japan

By Spencer . December 25, 2006 . 12:37pm

In Japan the game is known as “Riot Act” instead of Crackdown and has a different marketing approach than the North American release. On top is the USA banner with a realistic looking agent, similar to other crime games. For Japan the game looks like some sort of cartoon. The cel-shaded style is emphasized and it almost looks like something you would get for a kid except for the CERO “Z” rating.

I dont know. Maybe they want it to train Japanese kids entering the police force or something. Cartoony style might make it more appealing to them.
