Why the hell won't this franchise die? How long can you throw balls at little monsters and have it be fun? Whatever, if having a collection of cutesy monsters floats your boat, then so be it.

No, Japan is the only region in which Wii Sports is not included with the Wii itself. (They pay about $215 for the console).

In Japan the Wii is sold without any games, so you can choose what to buy. It's also around $50 cheaper than the forced bundle we got in the US.

Am I misunderstanding something here? Did Wii Sport not ship with every console? What am I missing here?

Well it is called Pocket Monsters in Japan, hence the fact that you carry them with you. Although I did enjoy the first games back on the old Green and Yellow screen GameBoy, I never could understand the point paying the price of console game just to see them in 3D.

The full adventure game in 3D, hell even a remake of the first games would have been a better deal than just paying a 3D converter.

Also, it's no secret that Japan is going handheld. If the DS continues to sale this good, I wouldn't be surprise if Microsoft and SONY decided to make a touch screen Handheld of their own.
