Koei and Namco Bandai’s team up project Gundam Musou actually looks decent. The interface is the same as the Shin Sangoku Musou (Dynasty Warriors) games with the minor change of the words below the number killed, it’s been changed to “shot down”. In the scans we can see that you can use beam rifles and there are all range musou attacks. The tweaks are minor, but the pictures in these scans look much better than Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire.
You’d have to have a thing against the Dynasty Warriors series (or hack ‘n slashers in general) to think that Gundam Musou could possibly turn out badly.
It’s not simply because this game is based on the DW series either; judging from these screenshots, the production value seems pretty high, and considering Gundam Musou has been in development for 2 years now, its obvious this isn’t simply a little rush job slapped together to cash in on these two series popularity.
As a matter of fact, I could see this turning out to be one of the best Gundam games released in years and should definitely go down well in Japan. Not only from a financial standpoint but when things come down to the actual gameplay as well.

Hopefully it won’t be a crime against humanity like the other Gundam games, but I don’t it will be any good. I’m a fan of the show and would love to see a good game though.
