Learning English with Talkman

By Spencer . January 4, 2007 . 11:32am

Sony’s PSP language tool, Talkman, hasn’t been the strongest selling point for the system. However, if you’re country hopping Talkman is actually a useful device. It packs in a handful of languages on a UMD disc with voice recordings of key phrases said by Max, the series multilingual bird. While the previous Talkman programs were in essence flashy dictionaries, Talkman Shiki: Shabe Lingual Eikaiwa uses Max to teach players English. The video below shows to people playing around with the upcoming program, a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s. Compared to the other language training games, Talkman appears to be the most advanced to teach conversational skills since you can practice with Max.

It looks nice, but I'm not sure it will fit
    It fits perfectly

    :)

All it takes is a cute Asian girl and phrases like that for me to turn this into perversion.

    LOL!

Jokes aside, I think this is a nice utility. Would be nice to see a similar game for the DS.
  • Now If It Will Only Teach Me Japanese..

you know, I'm Still Yet To Find Someone With TalkMan In Hawaii.. You'd Think They'd Bring It Here To, you know, Help Shop..

Maybe Now With This, They Don't Need To Tote The PSP Around Every Single Time..

    Batman, batman...

    hehe

Nice little program... like that guy said he can't speak english at all... the girl did pretty good though.

I also wish there was a game like this that could help one learn Japanese.
  • The first girl is cute! Her english is pretty spot on. I like how she ends up with an english style accent when she speaks in english too. *chuckles*
