Heavenly Sword due out in March

Sony’s Playstation 3 martial arts epic, Heavenly Sword, is due out on March 6, 2007. Heavenly Sword stars Nariko, who is on a quest to stop a king and his invading army. Screenshots have shown Nariko with a chained weapon and wielding two swords. The control system will also have reaction commands similar to God of War or Kingdom Hearts II during player controlled cutscenes. Besides a few bare details there hasn’t been too much information on the title post E3, but if Ninja Theory is releasing it in March the game must be nearly complete.

Woow! Thats great news! I havent heard anything new on the game for a while, so I figured it was far from completion, but if this is legitimate, I’m psyched for march!

Heavenly Sword is definitely shaping up nicely, but I could do without any player controlled cutscenes. I didn’t like them in Die Hard Arcade or Shenmue and I doubt they’re any better here. It seems slowly but surely more and more action titles seem to be picking up this approach.

I find them simply repetitive and can really break up the flow of the gameplay if you don’t get it down just right in the beginning.
