AtomFinal Fantasy 1 and 2 get a PSP facelift
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy and Square-Enix is re-releasing Final Fantasy I and II again, this time for the PSP. The PSP games are based off of Final Fantasy I&II: Dawn of Souls and the first pictures show similar graphics. However, the game will be widescreen and add in the movies seen in Final Fantasy Origins. There are also some unnamed “enhancements” scheduled for both of these games. Unlike the GBA package or Origins it looks like these games are going to be sold separately.

Yeah they’re going to be separate games for Japan, but they *might* be packaged together in North America. Case in point: Final Fantasy Origins. Originally Final Fantasy I and II were separate PS1 games in Japan, but Square USA packaged them together.

Jesus Christ all Mighty, how many times can Square remake the same f$%^&@# games? Are they going Capcom on our ass and remaking the same 2 titles over and over?

Worst part is that they will sale. FF Fanboys who are on SONY products would buy anything with the name Final Fantasy, hence why they are getting GBA ports on a system that is suppose to be superior than the DS.

FF2 remake for the DS? how would that make the game better? it’s fine on the psp
I do agree partially though, why in the hell do they keep re-tweaking this old crap,
FF2 was the worst final fantasy in the entire series, they tried something new & it backfired IMO.

Separately??? what a ripoff. FF2 is easily the worst FF.
