AtomNo 20GB Playstation 3s for the European launch
To make sure there is ample supply of the 60GB Playstation 3 Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is holding back the release of the 20GB PS3. While the cheaper PS3 will not make the launch window the 20GB PS3 should be available in the future.
Ireland - €629 (60GB) ($813)
Europe - €499 (20GB) / €599 (60GB) ($646 / $755)
UK - £425 (60GB) ($837)
Also Sony Europe claims the Playstation 3 is still on track for a release on March 23, 2007 despite what Sir Howard Stringer said. Anyone going to pony up the cash to get one? Or is importing a better and cheaper option?

Good for the Euros. At least they aren’t wasting units that way.

…and that 425 price tag just pretty much sealed the deal on my future purchase of a 360.
