AtomNaruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX coming in February
Takara Tomy is going to beat Namco Bandai by a few months with the first game based on the post time skip Naruto. Eighting who developed the Clash of Ninja / Geiktou Ninja Taisen games is handling the work on Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX. There are new motion controls where you can charge chakra for Naruto’s rasengan by waving the remote around and like other games in the series you can battle with four players. While the game has barely been displayed, it’s coming out real soon. Japan gets it on February 22, 2007.
Update: Scans over at GoNintendo reveal that the classic controller and Gamecube controller can be used in Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX. The pictures also show how different attacks can be done, like if you move the remote down Naruto does a downwards punching attack. Confirmed characters in the game are: Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, Neji, Lee, Guy, TenTen, Gaara, TEmari, Kankuro, Kisame, Itachi, Deidara.

Classic controls have been pretty much confirmed today! Woo hoo! Now we wait for a Friiloader *pre-orders game*

oooh, looks like they overhauled tenten. though I don’t remember them showing any of her “new” fighting style in the post-timeskip manga. hope they didn’t turn sakura into a tsunade clone.
a wii freeloader won’t come soon enough…

I’m impressed with the new effects, combos and few new stuffs!!
but…is this gonna be like Naruto Gekito Taisen 1?
Only like dozen of characters?? or it will have all the old characters from NGT4?
And if released in USA will it have japanese voice setting?

stop asking question no one knows the answers to :P. the game isn’t even out here (in japan) yet.
based on simple logic however, there is less than a smil chance this game will be out for gamecube. also, think how far behind the series is in North America. it wont be out there for a while. that being said, theres a good chance you will be able to play it on a NTSC U/C Wii. i have not tried yet, but i believe games are not region locked.

Just to alert you guys Wii games ARE region locked, no details about a USA launch (remember its post time skip) and it is NOT coming out for the Gamecube. We’re getting our copy in later this week so check back for some more coverage on Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX

Kinda old news…
anyway, I can’t wait for this game. I hope a “friiloader” comes out soon so we can all those weird and crazy Japanese games. NGNT is my favorite fighting series, so I can’t wait to play the new one. Let’s hope the controls work (which I seriously doubt in a fighting game).
