Rogue Galaxy Directors Cut heading to Japan

By Spencer . January 18, 2007 . 9:19am

Sony is adding a lot of extras to the US and European version of Rogue Galaxy. There is a whole extra planet with sidequests and new items. The chain system has been revised to let players choose when to use special attacks, instead of them coming out at random. New dialogue has been added too, supposedly over 2000 lines of extra speech. We get to sample the new content first when Rogue Galaxy is released on January 30 while Japan has to wait until March 21 to get the final version of the game entitled, Rogue Galaxy: Directors Cut.

So let me get this straight: this “Directors Cut” version is the same game that comes to the US and Europe, just labeled “Directors Cut” for the folks in Japan who missed out during the original release?

    I can live with that.
