Final Fantasy: 20th Anniversary screenshots

Sure they’re another version of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II, but the enhanced PSP ports look slick. The games are played in widescreen format and are the best looking version of FF1 and 2 until they’re ported over to the next system. The randomized “Soul of Chaos” dungeon where you battle classic Final Fantasy bosses is in the PSP release of Final Fantasy and the “Soul of Rebirth” dungeon where you play as the four fallen NPC heroes is included in the Final Fantasy II for the PSP. Both of those features were seen in the GBA remake Dawn of Souls, which was an enhanced version of Final Fantasy Origins, a port of the Wonderswan remakes with FMV movies. Most of you probably have a version of Final Fantasy I and II in your house, will you spend money to buy the PSP games? If not what would convince you to buy the games again? More pretty looking pictures past the break.

I don’t have either — I guess I’m not hardcore enough! Actually, I was probably too young to get the games and didn’t have the cash at the time. However, I will definitely pick up this for the PSP.

Weird graphics… Looks like a cheap RPG Maker XP fangame.

Carlos, you have evidentley never played either Final Fantasy I or II, because these graphics are killer compared to the old one. And, have you looked at shots of the AMV’s. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover man.
