A thumb stylus for all your gaming needs

The DS already has a little nub for analog control, but what about a thumb based stylus? The Thylus made by the good people at… Thylus Inc. came up with this concept. It looks kind of silly and in a way it has been done before. However, the little pointy thing on the end might make games like Elite Beat Agents easier to play. Or it could be used for games like Jump Ultimate Stars so you don’t have to get the bottom screen dirty with fingerprints. What’s your take useful or useless?

That would really help for Jump Ultimate Stars…. I cannot hold and use the stylus for that game.

I say “no” for Elite Beat Agents. I can’t imagine anything worse than having your fat thumb block a quarter of the screen. One good thing about a regular stylus is that you can kinda see around it.

This sort of idea would have been better if it were made by… Indexus Inc. I have better control with my index finger than my thumb when I’m using it to point. Thumbs are great for button-pressing and very limited control, but direct and/or advanced control for pointing and such is better with the index.

Don’t think so? Put your finger in the air and write your name in cursive using your index? Now, give it a shot with your thumb at the same pace.
