In the USA we’re lucky enough to get games localized in English. Japan isn’t always as fortunate to get games in their language. At times subtitles are slapped over English voice acting and a game is thrown on a shelf. Microsoft made sure that didn’t happen with Gears of War, they have a whole new cast of Japanese voice actors. What do you think of Marcus’ new voice and the Locust Horde Queen’s new more masculine voice? Compare it to the English voice actors past the break.

English voice actors:
well thats bs, because most people want japanese games in Japanese with eng subs. Only idiots want crappy eng dubs
I’m not a big fan of dubs no matter what language it is, over here we use subs on every tv show thats not Dutch spoken and I prefer it way, be it on TV, movies or videogames.
It sounds cooler in Japanese, as most games do. ;)
Still won’t help it sell over there though.
I think the dubb is a good job, however I have to agree that original voice work is usually the best, no matter where it’s from IMHO. Having watched many years of anime, I enjoy seeing anime in Japanese with English subs because I get the original voice actors emotions carried over in the directors vision.

I don’t know; this could be just me — I like the original (American) voice of Fenix. I guess it’s kinda like anime: the original Japanese voices are usually better, and then when it comes to the U.S. and is dubbed, it sounds horrible. Now it’s reversed — the American version sounds better.
