Unreleased Chrono Trigger cartridge on eBay

For $274.95 you can be the proud owner of a sample copy of Chrono Trigger. In one of the unreleased builds (this is probably the same one) there are “extras” hidden in the game. The Chrono Compendium has a detailed list of the differences between the prototype cartridge and the final release. Some of the big changes are a different flashback with Frog and a hidden area in 2300 A.D. that could have been a robot village. The same seller also has another “rare” and overpriced item, a Final Fantasy VI statue of Tina for $1,200. To put the price in comparison the same seller has the Aerith statue priced at $4.95.
