Game and Watch games buried in Nintendos DS dictionary

If you type “ball” in DS Rakubiki Jiten two words show up and if you click on the grey word it opens up the classic Game & Watch game Ball. The game is played entirely on the touch screen where you hit left and right to keep the two balls balanced in the air. Another neat easter egg hidden in DS Rakubiki Jiten is the coin sound when you hit the grey word “Nintendo”.

An amazing find… Surely there are more… correct?

I’ve been searching for more greyed out text, but the dictonary is HUGE. The only reason why I even pulled out is because I’ve been messing around with this Kanji Training game and I needed to look something up. I tried searching other key Nintendo terms like “Mario” and other Game&Watch games with no luck.

Gnome Says:

Still, that was an amazing find Spencer, just amazing!

You also get the coin sound if you look up “rakubiki” (楽引). Apparently a Nintendo-coined word. (Haha, coin.)

Daniel I Says:

Pretty much any nintendo related word, such as mario, luigi etc will result in the coin sound…
