Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas tops the charts in Japan

Last week Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was finally released in Japan with Capcom as the game’s publisher. Instead of limping along like some US made games, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was the number one selling game for the week with 227,261 copies of the PS2 game in the hands of gamers. In comparison, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker, the number two game, sold 103,706 copies sold and Picross DS, which was also released last week only managed to sell 71,794 copies.

 

Here is the sales chart for the week of January 22-January 28

1.) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (227,261)

4.) Picross DS (71,794)

5.) Hotel Dusk Room: 215 (59,379)
