StarFox Voyeur

Well, to be honest, it’s more of a Starfox Object Viewer, but you have to admit that Voyeur does sound rather catchy. So, dear Nintendo obsessed retro-heads, let’s just forget the naming issue, as all you have to actually do is click on this lovely little link and you’ll be transported to a fantastic 3D world sans-textures; the world of StarFox objects. There, you’ll be allowed to zoom them objects in and out, rotate them and move them to your heart’s delight while waiting for StarFox Wii.

Speaking of a Star Fox Wii, if Nintendo were to announce such a title I hope they implement a control scheme similar to the way you controlled the Arwing to blast foes in 9-Volt’s boss stage in Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, where in the end you fought against ROB who himself was carrying a light gun. It was a bit awkward at first, but when you finally got the controls down, was really fun.

Little easter-egg, click on the StarFox logo and you’ll be able to fly into the training level of the original, though the speed may be too high and there’s no collision detection.

There’s also a Starfox level editor to be found in this site that includes a better object viewer, but it’s not very WYSIWYG as you cannot preview the levels you edit.
