Prince of Persia toned down for Wii?

Even though I’ve already beat Prince of Persia: the Two Thrones, I’m psyched to see how Prince of Persia: Rival Swords is going to play. The control set up looks pretty good where the nunchuck controls the daggertail the dark Prince uses and the remote is used for balancing on beams. While “Rival Swords” is a Wiimake of the Two Thrones, it looks like it might be edited. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones for the Cube, Xbox, PS2 and PC got a “M” rating from the ESRB, while the Wii version has a “T” rating. Did Ubisoft remove the “gore” and “intense violence” to make it more kid friendly? Seems likely, but that’s not too big of a deal as long as the new controls hold up.

It's a good thing that I didn't buy a Wii for violent games or I'd be disappointed.

Maybe the bits they cut out were rubbish and not needed, they also happened to be the gorey bits....
The Wii is getting Man hunt 2, they arnt gonna cut the gorey bits out because its too violent!! numpteys!

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time didn't need gore. I think the series lost some of its core audience when it started rockin' the heavy metal and sprayin' bodily fluids around.

Actually, I'd say the blood and gore helped to increase the game's audience, as Warrior Within sold more copies than Sands of Time did in retail.

There's no doubt that SOT was the better designed game, but the violence had nothing to do with it; if you took out all the gore in WW it still would be inferior to its predecessor in every category. A game's violence has nothing to do with the quality.
