Shout Factory, the people behind the Super Mario Brothers Show and Legend of Zelda DVD box sets are releasing the first two seasons of Captain N: the Game Master later this month. Following the Captain N release is a four disc box set containing twenty six episodes of Sonic: The Animated series. This Sonic series is the classic cartoon where Sonic gives public service announcements at the end in “Sonic Says” segments. Jaleel White, best known for playing Urkel in Family Matters, does the voice for Sonic in the show. Shout Factory has the Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Series box set scheduled for March 27, 2007.

Sonic was strange when it first aired. There was this show that is being referred to in the blog, then there was the Sonic the Hedgehog show that aired on ABC Saturday mornings, also with the same voices for Sonic and Tails. The one that came on weekdays was really goofy from what I remember, then the Saturday show was a more serious, adventure-type show. These shows aired in the same season I think and the artwork on both shows was different from each other also. Perhaps Sega was trying to milk out the franchise as much as possible before it sank?
