Wing Commander officially coming to Xbox Live Arcade

Yesterday we discovered that there was a new Wing Commander game called “Wing Commander Arena” in the works. Today Electronic Arts announces that the game is indeed in development and it is an Xbox Live Arcade title. It is an outer space combat game where 16 people can play online simultaneously and blast other ships with torpedoes. There are eight maps to play and four styles of play: single player, team, free for all, duel. Wing Commander Arena sounds like a good fit for the Xbox 360 and after many, many years of waiting Wing Commander is coming back. Now if only Electronic Arts can pull in Mark Hamill…
