Next week in San Francisco is the 2007 Game Developer’s Conference and on Thursday morning Shigeru Miyamoto is going to be giving the Nintendo keynote speech. What kinds of surprises is Nintendo going to (or not) going to reveal? Nintendogs on the Wii? A Mario MMORPG? Place your guesses here and the person who guesses closest to what Nintendo has in store for the future wins a copy of Lunar Knights for the DS. To prevent someone from typing a ten page essay of guesses you get 1 point for each correct announcement, but you lose a half a point for any extra incorrect announcements. Whoever has the highest score wins. The contest is over when official announcements are made either from Miyamoto’s speech or if there is an early leak. Good luck and let the speculation begin!
Extra note about the contest if it comes between someone saying "New Virtual Console games" and someone saying "New Virtual Console titles: Super Metroid, King of Fighters 2000, Magician Lord" were going to pick the person who is more specific.
Announcements about SSBM, or at least a new video.
At least one or two new characters.
They’ll show off new Brain Age for the Wii.
They’ll brag about a few particular VC games. My guess is Super Metroid will be among them.
New Disaster: Day of Crisis info/media.
New Hammer info/media.
Hmm… That should be enough.
I’m guessing the Big N will reveal a Wi-Fi multi-player mode for Metroid Prime 3. They will also show screens of Pikmin 3 and show some of the new features. On the Virtual Console, they will talk about a future release of Earthbound. Finally, they will reveal some upcoming Wii accessories.
Hmm… my predictions are:
Nintendogs on the Wii
A Mario MMORPG
New Virtual Console titles:
Super Metroid
King of Fighters 2000
Magician Lord
Hope I win!
This will probabbly sound farfetched, but i reckon nintnedo might unveil zelda wii
to add to that:
Demo channel
More Wii-DS stuff
not exactly an announcement, but id be willing to bet higly they’ll talk about expanding the market as well ![]()
I hoping for:
Fire Emblem DS
Yoshi Wii
Super Smash Bros on DS
Either new stuff about Mario Galaxy or SSBB, or a new Wii channel. I’ll be specific though - Either Bomberman, Earthbound characters, or your very own Miis will be revealed as SSBB players. wii channel could be the rumored japanese game download one that would give us our earthbound game.
I think they will reveal some form of upgraded hardware, like a newer, better version of the DS, Gameboy, etc.
Hah. This is easy.
Last time, it was Zelda Hourglass. You can cross out DS game announcements.
It’s by Miyamoto, it’s called Creative Vision
1)a new Kirby Game
2)He’ll show off a new franchise that uses Wii Online
3)He’ll talk about a second franchise that uses procedural coding.
4)he’ll talk about the development of a game engine that isn’t Unreal but Nintendo Sponsored and will do stuff like Okami.
Here are my guess! :p
-The character list for Smash Bros Brawl will be anounced
-A new game starring Kid Icarus, on Wii, with a “dark” ambiance
-A multiplayer shooter playable on Wifi connection
-The return of Mario Paint
-A Wii channel that let you download “simple” but new games
-A new Mario sport game for Wii
-Precision on upcoming games (Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Metroid, Mario Galaxy, HAMMER, etc etc)
I don’t think I will win (too many unfounded guesses ^^”), but I wanted to share my expectations with you!! ![]()
I say that he will talk about:
SSBB (either a release date or how Sonic is going to be in it, or other characters for that matter)
Some info on Mario Galaxy (release date)
More VC titles (Earthbound in the US, Donkey Kong 64)
Yea, so here is hoping im right about the Brawl info at least
Top 10 in no particular order:
1. They’ll show more of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and other known future games like the new Metroid Prime.
2. They’ll reveal some new previously unknown future titles.
3. Miyamoto will announce he is working on a new game.
4. Miyamoto will talk about the future of Nintendo and the gaming industry.
5. They’ll reveal plans for releasing original content through the Wii Virtual Console Channel.
6. Buttloads of release dates revealed.
7. They’ll show off a new Wii Remote WITH rechargeable batteries.
8. They will allow developers to offer channels of their own to consumers on the Wii.
9. They will show off add ons for the Wii Remote and possibly Classic Controller too.
10. Goldeneye 007 for the N64 is announced for Wii VC.
1) overdue 1st party rechargeable battery fo the remote
2) new gameplay footage of Metroid Prime 3
3) Wii consoles in different color (not sure if it was announced or shown in ads before).
I don’t expect to win this, but I’ll throw everything out anyway.
Full character list for SSBB, including Sonic.
Brain Age (or similar game) for Wii.
Independent (or simply Indie) Channel for–you guessed it–independent developers.
Jokes about people getting shot in line for the PS3.
*Something* about Virtual Console games and the DS. Ideally an SD card expansion that lets you take VC games on the go (think PS3 Network’s PSP downloads without the nasty part where you can’t actually play them on the PS3), but that’s never going to happen…
Wii Sports 2, or possibly just Wii Sports Online.
New expansion for the Wii controller. Possibly the gun shell?
* Wii Health is announced
* Animal Crossing for the Wii is shown
* The DS+Wii connectivity channel is talked about
* More channels are announced

Hmmm…. I’d say were going to hear/see info on Smash Bros Brawl and a new Wii Channel. Either a demo channel or Indi channel. You heard it here 1st
