Monster Hunter Portable 2 leaving Japan, heading to Europe and USA

By Spencer . February 28, 2007 . 7:23am

Capcom released Monster Hunter Portable 2 in Japan last week and it became a mega hit after selling 500,000 copies in its opening week. The portable RPG is scheduled to ship in PAL regions in September 2007 under the name Monster Hunter Freedom 2. No announcement has been made from Capcom USA, but it is unlikely they are going to pull a “Breath of Fire III” move where they keep the English version in Europe only. The Monster Hunter series has a fanbase in North America and MH Freedom 2 isn’t a quick port of a PS1 game.

Edit: Coming to the USA too, also in September 2007.
