Dawn of Mana box art

Square-Enix has been pretty quiet about Dawn of Mana, it seems like all of the attention is going to Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales. Either way it’s getting ready for a release in late May and here is the North American box art. Notably different than the Japanese box art, which just had a serene tree, the main character, Eldy. One of Eldy’s weapons is a whip that lets him swing around and pull objects to the ground.

I heard the game turned out to be a beautiful mess, the worse, the franchise offered so far, because of game design.

Square is realy killing this franchise. Fans really want a TRUE SEQUEL to SECRET OF MANA. Not this stupid fluffy wanna be crap excuse for mana games. At least “HEROS of MANA looks promising. What does everyone think?

  • Don’t knock the game ’till you’ve tried it. Just because it’s not the oldschool Secret of Mana you want doesn’t mean its a bad game. Sure it has its fair share of problems, but what game doesn’t? I’ve played the import and enjoyed it and found it to actually be something original…original in the sense that nothing like it has been done in a while.

Anywho, that’s some nice boxart though I prefer the Mana Tree boxart of the JPN version.

actually the game is pretty bad… it plays like a slighty better Kingdom Hearts(I hate kingdom hearts…) the vine whip thing is cool though. But not that great of a game…

I should add if you like the Kingdom Hearts games you’ll probably like this game though. cause it plays just as bad as them.

Great, another action portrait cover. Thats EXACTLY what we need. Even Secret of Mana on the SNES had the cool Mana tree cover… has Square gone backwards in the ten years since then? Not cool.
