No more territory locks on XLA, Yie Ar Kung Fu US bound

By Spencer . March 13, 2007 . 8:00am

When Microsoft announced a list of Xbox Live games at Tokyo Game Show, Konami’s Yie Ar Kung Fu showed up, for Japan only. However, Konami changed their mind (or it’s acting as Xbox Live Arcade filler?) about making it a territory exclusive because it is scheduled to come out in Spring 2007 in the USA. Yie Ar Kung Fu was the first Xbox Live arcade game that got a territory lockout for North America, which seems strange since it appeared in US arcades and Konami is repackaging it for their DS arcade collection. Also coming out in Spring 2007 from Konami is a remake of Gyruss, with 3D ship models and a cosmic starfield background.
