I am definitely a 'Sega aficionado', I have played the whole MW games in the early 90's... what nostalgia… I am buying it (no doubts about that) not only for the sake of the game's collection and arcade ports, but for the music test and the sheet music?!! Finally, I will be able to construct some remixes and tunes for my new cell phone. ^^/ Can not wait... the themes of the 'Dragon's Trap' are ringing in my mind! @@" Thanks!!

I would love it if there was a site that published all the extra's you get with this game like pictures and pre game sketches.

"If this type of thing could get ported to PSP/DS then that would be awesome."

While I seriously doubt Sega would port any of their Sega Ages releases onto the DS or PSP, if they were able to cram all 6 Monster World games into one DS cart, including all the extras featured in the PS2 port, that would be a pretty damn impressive feat in and of itself.

The PSP would definitely be the more likely candidate, as compilation releases for a quick buck is right up the handheld's alley.

Your best bet for seeing any re-release of the Wonder Boy games in the West (and hopefully Monster World IV translated) is through the Virtual Console, if and when Sega finds it most appropriate.

I like Wonder Boy 3 , I still have the original Mega Drive cartridge. It was a tough game in later stages and very fun for 2 players.

I played the shit out of Dragon's Curse on TG16. Hudson should release that one on VC, though I can go back to my original at any given time. Anyway, that was THE definitive version.

A new Wonderboy game like the new Bubble Bobble, new Rainbow Islands or new New Zealand Story games? Or even the new Ghost's n Goblins, which is kinda meh. I'll pass thanks. Just package up the old classics to run on new systems like this, sell it cheap, and leave it at that. If this type of thing could get ported to PSP/DS then that would be awesome.

I'm really loving how Sega is even including the localized versions of the same Wonder Boy games for those that were released in the US (similar to how the Sega Ages Gunstar Heroes Treasure Box collection was handled as well). This certainly helps in making the titles more import friendly, even if there really wasn't that much text to begin with. Still, its great to play these games the way we remember them, translated text and all.

Talk about a nice gesture from Sega, almost as if they realize many gamers, such as myself, will end up importing many of the Sega Ages releases, especially ever since they stopped releasing them here after the controversial launch of Sega Classics Collection.
