Watch: Baroque Opening (PSOne/Saturn)

By Rolando . March 14, 2007 . 5:29pm

A while back, I made mention of Sting working on a PS2 remake of their PSOne/Sega Saturn game Baroque. Out of sheer curiosity, I took it upon myself to see if I could find the opening to the original Baroque game on the Internets because, you know, you can pretty much find anything; and to my surprise, I managed to find it.

The one notable difference between the PS2 remake and the PSOne/Saturn versions is how gameplay is handled; judging by the screenshots, PS2 Baroque’s gameplay will be in a third person view while the original was in first person view. Not only that, but the PSOne/Saturn version seems to pull off the Gothic look very well considering the lighting and the mood of particular areas.

Now if only I could find an original import copy…

This looks great, I like how the game’s main theme is to “repent your sin”, very intrigued to get the PS2 ver. once it’s out.
