Phantasy Star 20th Anniversary Collection heading to the PS2

DJ’s right on that account, which is basically why the original Phantasy Star would be the highlight of this compilation if one were to import; it was naturally not included in SGC because this was a Genesis-only collection.

With any luck, Sega should throw in a free extras like possibly the localized versions of these same PS games as a bonus, similar to their work on the recent Monster World Complete Collection (or at the very least scans of all the game’s numerous packaging, manuals, artwork, and a sound test).

Otherwise, I couldn’t really see myself importing it, as I’d rather just play the translated titles. I do expect to see a review sometime around the game’s launch for all the juicy details, though. :)

if u can find it there is a japanese phantasy star box set that contains 1-4. i have it and its my favorite piece in my collection. online faqs should help ne1 that cant read japanese enjoy the games fully, as ps games are all about the pure rpg aspects and not real story heavy. if u havnt played 4 its b far the best and u should treat urself to it, i consider it the best pure rpg ever made.

ps. the box set is for the saturn so ud need an action replay or some such device if u dont own the jp saturn.
