Rogue Galaxy might be sort of old news now since Sony released it back in January, but a lot of what was in the North American version is new to Japan. The aquatic planet Alistia where the Mermels and Sleeg fight was created. The combat system was revamped and players can collect orbs to do chain attacks. New costumes, items and scenes were added in too. All of the additional content is found in Rogue Galaxy: The Director’s Cut which is going to be released in Japan on March 20 for 3,980 yen ($33). If you’re a fan of Rogue Galaxy see the trailer, which highlights the additions already added in the US / EU release.

Having almost finished the NA version, I have to say this is one of my favorite RPGs. The game is so polished that I can hardly believe they would release the title any other way originally. It could be tightened up in a few more places, but overall it's a fantastic product.

Now, when are we gonna see Final Mix +, eh Japan?
