Hehe, it's amazing how completely off-topic this thread has really become. This was originally about Sonic SatAM, after all.

Anyway, you can chalk this game up to a Sonic title that Sonic Team didn't completely botch up like in the past, basically halting all fears. In this day and age, it really is hard to get excited for any new 3D Sonic installment, as the product in question may very well turn out to be below-average because of ST's current track record of terrible titles.

Oh, how the mighty Sonic Team has fallen. I can only hope that Sonic and the Secret Rings is a sign of good things to come but you never know with them. They just recently got done with the horrible next-gen sequel of Sonic the Hedgehog so Sonic's future is still up in the air.

Too bad they cant make a game or an anime based on the comic stories, or at least art styles(good art in most, though some are fugly)

At least a knuckles game, had some good stuff

Unfortunately I died many times too fighting the last boss (final form after collecting the 7 rings), and had to take a breather, so I still haven't beat him yet.

The odd ball control works well on some levels but not on the others, it was really stress- inducing and unplayable at first w/ the clunky/unrepsonsive control (it was very hard to do the homing attack at the beginning since it lacks range), but it gets more fun once you can upgrade yourself w/ new skills by gaining exp. Fun 3D Sonic game in a long time, but not w/o a few flaws.

Secret Rings had some early frustrations that originally prevented me from enjoying the game at first. The steep learning curve, especially in later stages, and the fact that it was strictly mandatory to do certain missions before being allowed to further proceed through the story (which wasn't even that interesting to begin with) really dropped the game down a notch for me.

This is one Sonic title that you have to work through in order to get good with it, let alone begin to enjoy in the first place. Only when I got to grips with the playing style was the only time that Secret Rings finally opened up to me, and I was able to have a lasting experience once and for all.

Without a doubt, this is the best 3D console Sonic I've played since the original SA, and while it doesn't quite match the quality of that game, or even the brillance of Sonic's excellent Genesis outings, this title is quite the successful relaunch for the series we should have witnessed with Sonic the Hedghog for the 360/PS3.

Sonic on the Wii was a nice play despite its many frustrations, I regret getting the game at first but brought myself to enjoy it. I liked Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 on the Dreamcast too, even though there weren't as good as the ones on the Genesis of course. But the rest, yes, Sonic team really needs to get their act together, the demo for Sonic 360/PS3 was just horrible.

Bah, the only good thing about Sonic was the 4 main Genesis/Mega Drive titles. Everything else Sonic related should have never been created.

The last hope I had was Sonic on Wii, although 5000 better than Sonic's other 3D adventures, sucks big time compare to the 4 real Sonic titles.

Unless they decide to remake NIGHTS, Jet Set Radio or Virtual-On for the Wii, SEGA is dead to me :(

It's embarassing to say, I actually did like Jaleel White ("Did I do that" Urkel) 's Sonic and sang along to the song back then. I thought he was a pretty good Sonic and the cartoon wasn't half bad in my memories.
