You're welcome, Jeriaska. I actually did a search on Ted Woolsey prior to my finding that article on your site since a friend of mine was asking where she could learn more about the man. When I came across the article in question, I had to share it with others who've come to appreciate the man.

I'll be honest, after playing Advance, there are times when it's pretty clear Woosly had a better script.

The complete change in the Opera, well, that's just for an attatchment.
"They say I learn slow, but I eat fast" - Ultros, Woosley's translation
"They say I learn slow, but at least I never give up" - Ultros, FF6 advance.

"How old are you kid?" "Ten" "*Sigh* You've grown up too fast kid" - Edgar/Relm, Woosley
"How old are you kid?" "Ten" "Ten? Not even a lady yet. I'll wait eight years".

Good work Mr. Woosley. And yes, Awesome job on Earthbound.

Fascinating article, I knew there was limitation in size for the SNES cartridge, but didn't realize it played such a huge role in restricting the script's length.

Barret's "#&@%" in FF 7 was funny & strange at the same time :).. I was wondering why they had to resort to that, whether it was due to translators' incompetence or done on purpose to be comedic. How I miss Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, FF VI, and Mario RPG, good ol' square-soft.
