Final Fantasy II: 20th Anniversary out this summer

Square-Enix announced that the 20th anniversary PSP remake of Final Fantasy II is scheduled for release in Japan on June 7. The PSP release has the extra “Soul of Rebirth” dungeon found in Final Fantasy I&II: Dawn of Souls and the FMVs from the PS1 release. Final Fantasy II has extra polish on the PSP as you can see in the screenshots past the break, but that might not be enough to convince fans to repurchase the game for 3990 yen ($33).

It looks great, but I think Final Fantasy II was my least favorite one… I disliked the leveling up system a lot, and the story made almost no sense. This remakes does make it look great though.
