Watch: Odin Sphere US trailer

Something that was missing in all of the other Odin Sphere videos was gameplay footage. The new US trailer answers the question and Odin Sphere plays like a 2D side scrolling action game. See the brilliant looking footage past the break and if visit the official site to pick up some wallpapers and download a song mix by the composer Hitoshi Sakimoto who also composed Stella Deus and the Ogre Battle series.

A side scroller + epic music, this has made my day. The voice over could use a little work though, wouldn’t it be nicer to use the Queen’s English, like DQ8 or Drakengard.

Hitoshi Sakimoto was also behind the FFXII OST :)

God I can’t wait for this game! There better but Japanese voices in the english game though! Not that the english voice acting is that bad from what I hear…
I bought princess crown for PSP to hold me over until this game comes out. and boy this game looks sweet!

interesting. the gameplay reminds me of viewtiful joe… or the 2d sidescrollers of days past.

I’m definitely more interested in the game having seen this trailer. Before, the character designs put me off a little bit. But hey, the action looks great! Gameplay is what it’s all about. Just ask Nintendo.
