Having multiple difficulties is the only way to please everyone. Personally, I welcome the series extreme challenge, as it's a stark contrast to many games released in this day and age of gaming.

As a small nod to Ninja Gaiden Black's Ninja Dog difficulty, there absolutely needs to be a feeling of dishonor by selecting the easiest difficulty.

Getting accessories that made you clash with your ninja outfit, such as pink armbands, only helped but differentiate the Ninja Dog setting from pretty much any easy mode out there.

Hopefully it'll have adjustable difficulty settings. There needs to be a hard mode in there since Ninja Gaiden games have always been notoriously difficult.

Booo, stylus movement? I suppose if it were for certain situations in the game, but I think its pretty crummy that all the in-game play will rely on the stylus. I suppose point and poke is what the DS is all about though.

Ninja Gaiden certainly was one of the best games on Xbox, if not THE best. While I'm definitely excited for this game, I'll have to wait until I see how well the controls work. If done right, the game should be a definite must-buy. If not... well, that would be a real shame.

There's another thing that bugs me too. I read on IGN that the target audience for this game is supposed to be different from the previous NG games (NG, NG Black and NG Sigma); apparently, NG:DS will be made so that everyone can enjoy it. I can only hope this doesn't mean the game won't be as hard. Easy games are boring.
