I could imagine he was egged on by Sega to create a new NiGHTS game for the Wii, and not wanting to take part in this endeavor, dropped out (recently stating his main reason for leaving was to develop original IP's and not continue churning out consistent sequels). Hopefully his absence in this project won't be enough to hamper the quality of the product. I'm not even looking for a new experience with this future installment of NiGHTS.
