Boom Boom Rocket on Xbox Live Arcade today

Coming to Xbox Live Arcade in a few hours is Boom Boom Rocket from Bizarre Creations. It’s an original Xbox 360 music/rhythm game where you press buttons on beat to make a fireworks show. There are ten tracks in the game and they’re composed by Ian Livingstone who scored Project Gotham Racing 2. It’s hard not to compare Boom Boom Rocket to Fantavasion since they have a similar concept, but the price of Boom Boom Rocket is considerably cheaper than the price of Fantavision during the PS2 launch period. Pick it up for 800 Microsoft Points ($10) if you’re into DDR or Parappa the Rappa.

I played it for a but this morning and it was ok. Not as fun as some of the other 800 point games on XBLA, but if you like rhythm games it might be worth it.
