i cant wait 4 this 2 come out…..i already have the first game and seqel…
y does capcom have 2 torture us with great games everywhere that we can’t touch?

Actually the Eng. release w/ the name changes is intended for Westerners, so that all the name puns would still be meaningful and funny. Otherwise they could’ve just left Phoenix’s name romanized as “Naruhodo Ryuuichi” (Naruhodou meaning “Oh I see”), which wouldn’t mean a thing to us.

It’s funny that the setting in the Jpn version of Gyakuten Saiban is in Japan and von Karma is from America, while in Eng. version the story happens in the U.S and von Karma is from Germany Or when the policewoman was framed by the college student who wrote her name on the sand, in the org. the culprit wrote the wrong kanji while they mispelled Maggy’s name here. I’ve played through both versions and it’s an excellent translation indeed (if one doesn’t mind the names don’t stay Jpn), retaining all the humor. Now just don’t give me Guns & Roses again

They kinda have to change names and wording in Pheonix wright, otherwise, half the Dialouge wouldn’t make sense of be as funny

Rockman, on the otherhand, has no excuse to the amount of butchuring the series has had in the past. Zero especially

Agree, plus, the English addition in the first 2 GS games were added by Capcom of Japan as an addition for the Japanese folks that might want to play it in English, not for the European and North American consumers, so it’s acceptable in my book.

Also, do you know why Capcom USA rename Rockman back in 87′? here’s why:

A friend of mine found out about those years back and said that if Capcom USA knew that the franchise would have cough up half a million sequels and spin-off, that they could have paid that Mastertronic (a now defunct company) the rights to use that name.

I guess Capcom noticed that US gamers were importing the cheaper Japanese version.

I didn’t really care about the price, just the release dates. If Capcom USA can’t release a game that’s already translated in English on the same week as it is release in Japan, then they deserve having people importing.

But then again, due to their censorship and name changing, I haven’t purchased a Capcom USA game since the PSX days. Trials and Tribulations could be the first Capcom USA game that I will purchase after a decade of boycotting.

i heard this was the best game of the rest because of all the characters
