Details on Capcom’s Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law project

I know Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trial and Tribulations is coming out in September, but the law game that has my eye this year is Capcom’s Harvey Birdman title. Capcom announced the title at their 2007 Gamers day and a few more details about the game are trickling in. It’s being pegged as an “interactive fiction game” and “primarily an interactive story” which makes it sound like it is going to be a lot like the Phoenix Wright titles, except with the wacky humor adult swim series is known for. Writers from the TV show will be assisting Capcom with the stories so the episodes should keep the same sense of humor. In the game players will help Harvey gather evidence, talk to other cartoon characters and have drinks with the opposing council. The Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law game is scheduled to come out in fall 2007 for the Playstation 2 and PSP. Why did Capcom choose to develop the game on the PS2 and PSP instead of the DS where the Phoenix Wright series has a home? My guess is the Harvey Birdman game is going to have voices from the cast.

That’s no excuse for not putting it on the Wii though. I have a PS2 though, so I guess I shouldn’t complain too much.
