Falcoms Legend of the Heroes series continues in September

Legend of the Heroes III: Song of the Ocean (aka Eiyuu Densetsu Gagharv Trilogy V: Umi no Oriuta) closed the Gagharv Trilogy when it was released back in January. Falcom’s latest project in the Legend of the Heroes universe is Legend of Heroes VI: Sora no Kiseki which is scheduled to come out in Japan on September 26, 2007. It’s the first two disc UMD game to hit store shelves and it looks like the battle system is completely different from the other PSP games as seen in the screenshot. Famitsu has more screenshots to check out and one of them looks like a shot from an in game movie, which could be the main reason for the two disc release.

Well Falcom is known for cutscenes. I’m glad Sora no Kiseki SC is coming to PSP otherwise I’d have to go out of my way to look for the PC version.

2 UMDs…simply amazing.

Ugh, when will these crappy 2D cookie cutter RPG’s end? Seriously; I’m sure so many of these games have awesome, exciting, heart-wrenching stories and fun gameplay, but there’s no excuse for contrived anime face shots and SD sprites on systems as powerful as the PSP and PS2(yes, they are powerful if they can pull of stuff like Zone of the Enders; and the only reason I didn’t include other systems on this list is because they don’t have this oversaturation of RPGs).
