Box art battle! Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary Edition

As usual Japan gets the standard white background with new artwork from Yoshitaka Amano and a centered Final Fantasy logo. Also as usual North America gets different box art from Japan.  However Square-Enix doesn’t show the main character(s) on the cover like other Final Fantasy titles, instead there is this neon rave-like silhouette of Amano-san’s art. An interesting choice, but which one do you like more?

Wow,the NA boxart is actually good!!  Heck, it may be better then the original!  I’m shocked.

Dan Zuccarelli Says:

I always prefer the white background and simple logo…. classic AND classy

Nightcap Says:

Actually for once the NA art looks nice, but I still prefer the japanese cover. Something about the japanese cases is very uniform, “classy”. Something id actually put on display where as the NA games are either a collage of crap or some random pic from the game manuals. But nice try USA, you’re getting closer.

Pichi Says:

I like the US covers more. Classic logo and Amano’s art with a neon look and bigger picture from the logo art.

I actually do dig the NA box-art a lot this time. As I did the awesome Collector’s Edition FFXII’s.

The giant Amano-art-background looks good, but the simple still looks so darn classy.
