AtomSpoiler Friday: Super Paper Mario pokes fun at dating sims
One of the scenes in the third chapter of Super Paper Mario has Princess Peach step into the world of a dating game. Francis the nerdy lizard picks commands from a menu like “smooch” from an RPG-ish menu and the player gets to pick commands for Princess Peach. See more pictures of the battle for Peach’s heart past the break.

I never played the PM series. I need to get a Wii, dload Paper Mario 64, get the GC one, and then this

The dialogue is certainly witty in this game. Only have a chance to finish the 1st world though, would love to play more of it when I have time.

Super Paper Mario is like a perfect combination of your typical 2D Mario platformer fused with the witty and well-written dialouge and story of the previous two PM RPG titles. This formula works out surprisingly well, and like New Super Mario Bros. before it, is a great blast from the past with many of the conventional gameplay elements that make the Mario RPGs so enjoyable, namely gaining experience points not to mention the usage of special items to inflict further damage on your enemies’ HP.

Thats hilarious! I’ve not got a chance to play a Paper Mario game yet (my N64 is boxed up at home and I only JUST got a GBM), but I’m very anxious to try one!
