AtomWatch: God of War: Chains of Olympus trailer
As the God of War II instruction booklet revealed Sony was bringing God of War to the PSP and the trailer is visually impressive. While I loved God of War I and II, I’m not quite sold on Chains of Olympus yet. It looks too much like God of War at this point. Kratos is doing the same combos with the Blades of Athena we’ve seen in two other games. I’m hoping that Ready At Dawn studios adds something new to the game, at least some new moves for Kratos. What do you think? Is more of the same a-ok? Or does God of War need to evolve?

I really wouldn’t expect Ready At Dawn to go out of their way to make any drastic changes that would remarkably improve Chains of Olympus over both God of War console games on the PS2. As long as it plays like GOW in portable form on the PSP, that’s enough to satisfy me.

Is portablity not evolution enough?
How about give Kratos a different weapon set. Maybe a long range weapon like a spear or a trident and not just a sword like in the first game. I haven’t played the 2nd game yet, does he have more weapons in that?
