I have tried this also and i gotta say.. it seems (as far as i have played) pretty damn nice.. little bit annoying that the chars get unselected when you issue a move order, but the way the cursor changes when u hover diff parts of the screen (i.e. attack, heal, walk etc) is just like any RTS on a PC would work nowadays and thats a good approach,

After the scene in the video you get to a smaller “dungeon” where you get to battle a big dude with smaller ones as minions.

If you want to play a similar game you should try Lost Magic, it has the same type of battlemovement but not the lovley characters and music as the FF games ;), and as it came out about a year ago in the states i would say that you should be able to maybe find it in a bargain bin close to you

Considering Heroes of Mana wasn’t that bad as a handheld RTS; by the looks of what this video shows, Revenant Wings looks to function in almost the same way. That being said, I’m actually looking forward to it.

the-importer - The action is mainly controlled with the touch screen. You use the d-pad to move around the map instead of dragging the map around with stylus.
