Watch: Japan’s Super Mario Brothers 2 and Zelda TV spots

Nintendo is about to release Super Mario Brothers 2 (aka Super Mario Brothers: The Lost Levels) on the virtual console later this month for Japan. Super Mario Brothers 2 was originally released for the Famicom Disc System along with the Legend of Zelda. The TV spot below is one of the ads back in the 80’s used to promote both titles and Nintendo decided to show players dying in both of the ads. It’s interesting to note that now Nintendo is showing how easy the games are to play with the Wii ads compared to how much of a challenge they were in the 1980’s.
