Arc System Works from Guilty Gear to detectives

Arc System Works announced Tantei Jinguuji Saburou DS: Inishie no Kioku, which is part of a twenty year old detective video game series that dates back to the Famicom Disc System. It’s a detective game with a gritty and darker look than Phoenix Wright or Touch Detective. Famitsu has a gallery of screenshots of Detective Saburou’s latest adventure and the art looks great. While no North American publisher has been announced, Aksys seems like a possible candidate. They already have a relationship with Arc System Works since they are publishing Hoshigami DS this summer and there is a potential market for a Detective Jinguuji Saburou game since adventure titles are on the rise.

Haven’t played this series, but the other detective game I was into was “Cross Tantei Monogatari” which was more anime-ish like Phoenix Wright. This one seems pretty gritty.
