To each his own I suppose, but I happen to be convinced. As I said, the fact alone this is coming from a ex-Sega programmer is enough proof for me, I have a hard time believing Morawiec would waste his time lying about a tech demo he didn't work on for the Genesis.

There's nothing for him to gain by doing so, in the interview he actually reveals a little details about the planned Sonic title that was in development. To better visualize this concept into people's minds, the best option's always video.

I severely doubt it’s fake, as Sega-16 is a incredibly reliable source for all things revolving the Genesis. Keep in mind this isn’t as if they received that Sonic prototype movie from some random homebrewer, that’s far from the truth. It was an exclusive provided by Peter Morawiec, an ex-Sega programmer who worked on the game himself before it was denied by Naka.

Bah, I've seen more convincing fakes in the past.

"I call fake on that one. Looks to good for a Mega Drive game and way to detailed for anything coming from SEGA."

I don't like the one-screen-at-a-time approach. makes it look like old prince of persia.

Ack, that looked pretty bad, the scroll is one screen at a time, preventing Sonic from ever building up any speed. The background/foreground mechanic is like Sega's own Bonanza Bros.
