Sony Computer Entertainment announced that a new Playstation 3 model will be sold in Korea with an eighty gigabyte hard drive opposed to the standard 60 GB model and the now “low end” 20GB model. The 80 GB Playstation 3 will be available on June 16, 2007 at the price of 518,000 won ($557). Sony has not announced plans to roll out the 80 GB Playstation 3 anywhere else and it doesn’t look like the 80GB model has any other features besides a larger hard drive.
