Ubisoft bringing personal “coaches” to the Nintendo DS

We called it last week and today Ubisoft sent over an e-mail about their new “My Coach” series of games. The first title coming out is My Word Coach, a game designed to help players expand their vocabulary. This screenshot from the Wii version looks like one of the things you do is write out missing letters with the Wii remote to spell words. A Nintendo DS release is also scheduled to come out (picture past the break) around the same time in Fall 2007. Ubisoft also announced My Life Coach for the Nintendo DS, a personal coach “that gives anybody concerned about their well being the willpower they need to change their habits the way they want in a motivating and fun way.” My Life Coach is being designed with the help of a behaviorist and it shares a lot in common with the abstract titles appearing in Japan like the Emotional Intelligence Trainer. If these titles are coming out it looks like My French Coach and My Spanish Coach are real too.
