Sin City license handed out

Recommended Videos

After I got out of seeing Sin City I wondered why there wasn’t a video game tie in. If an awful movie like Ecks vs. Sever can get two games, Sin City deserves at least one. I guess I’m getting my wish since Red Mile Entertainment picked up the license to make games based on the Sin City series of graphic novels. Sin City could easily be a detective game in the vein of Hotel Dusk: Room 215 or it could be a grayscale, cel-shaded action game. Neither genre is Red Mile Entertainment’s specialty. They are probably best known for making Heroes of the Pacific, an aerial combat sim, and Gripshift. At least Frank Miller has confidence in their talent.

“Taking Sin City into the world of video games is very exciting – games offer a whole new way to bring audiences into Sin City,” said Frank Miller. “The Red Mile team has impressed me with its dedication to creating Sin City video games that will remain true to Sin City as I’ve always seen it.”

So that means Red Mile Entertainment won’t make Sin City kart racing. Besides picking up the Sin City license Red Mile Entertainment has been holding a license to make a video game based off of MTV’s Jackass movies too. Perhaps Red Mile Entertainment is trying to establish themselves as a company who makes games based off of movies instead of being known for Lucinda Green’s Equestrian Challenge.
