Ryu K. tipped us off (thanks!!) that Capcom squashed the Killer7 rumor. Chompman, a site admin from Capcom London explains in a forum post:
at least, not any time soon that’s for sure.
Yes, there was a Wii symbol on the Killer 7 gamesheet.
No, this doesn’t mean a Wii version is planned or in the pipeline.
(Yes that means we messed up the website- we were using the K7 sheet for testing on the test site and somehow it’s made its way onto the live one)
Yes, I feel like an idiot now, thank you for asking.
If that wasn’t enough to close the books on the Killer7 Wii rumor there is also a news post about the mistake on the front page. Maybe its for the better. Instead Grasshopper Manufacture can focus on developing No More Heroes.

I’m actually not surprised at the least. I can imagine Killer 7’s lacking sales has prompted Capcom to put the game on hiatus as far as any new releases are concerned, no point in taking a risk on a game that didn’t exactly yield any extravagant revenue for the company, despite the title’s cult status among fans.
All the same, I’m rather relieved. If Capcom had any plans for Killer 7 down the line on the Wii, I’d much rather see a proper sequel making use of the Wiimote rather than simply a port.
