Blue Dragon also has a trading card game

Mistwalker keeps milking their Blue Dragon franchise even if the game didn’t go platinum in Japan. There is a manga, an anime series that Viz Media is bringing to North America and a trading card game developed by Konami. There are some tweaks to the standard formula in the Blue Dragon trading card game where you can level up cards.

 

Besides the trading card game there are gashapon toys, soundtrack CDs and, oh yeah, its game too that comes out in North America in August 2007. For a rookie title Blue Dragon has a lot of merchandise. Maybe not as much as Halo, but Blue Dragon has substantially more marketing tie-ins than Viva Pinata.
